6 THINGS ABOUT ME

(in no particular order)

1. LOU REED WROTE A SONG FOR ME ONCE

It was called 'Too Stupid to Lie' and he composed it on the spot during our interview. He said it could make a country great and he called me 'lovely', I will never get over it.

2. I WON A GLOBAL AWARD & PICKED IT UP IN NYC

It was for Editor of the Year. I wasn't cool, calm and collected about it like everyone else at that ceremony. I was beaming, laughing, enthusiastic and floored. Best moment!

3. I CAN ROLLERSKATE

It was my #1 hobby from childhood until about two years ago when I dislocated my knee during Roller Derby training. I haven't been able to get my left knee right since, any tips?

4. AMY SCHUMER INVITED ME TO HER HOUSE

I was interviewing her for her debut movie Trainwreck, she was formidable, powerful and she's definitely not a people pleaser. Still, she asked me to come over and visit next time I'm in NYC, so I think I'm in there... maybe

5. IGGY POP REGRAMMED ME

I captured him pulling the audience on stage at Sydney Opera House. I was chuffed. Sidenote: Bowie, Iggy and Lou are my holy trinity.

6. WORDS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MY JAM

I wrote the school Christmas play when I was 9 (an adaptation of The Pied Piper), won an award for an Early Times article aged 11 and it was all upwards from there really.
