5 THINGS ABOUT ME
(in no particular order)
1. LOU REED WROTE A SONG FOR ME ONCE
It was called 'Too Stupid to Lie' and he composed it on the spot during our interview. He said it could make a country great and he called me 'lovely'. I will honestly never get over it.
2. I WON A GLOBAL AWARD & PICKED IT UP IN NYC
Winning international Editor of the Year was an incredible milestone. I wasn't cool, calm and collected about it like everyone else at that ceremony: I was beaming, laughing, and utterly floored. Best moment.
3. I CAN ROLLERSKATE
t was my number one hobby from childhood until about two years ago when I dislocated my knee during Roller Derby training. I haven't been able to get my left knee right since, so please send through any rehabilitation tips.
4. IGGY POP REGRAMMED ME
I captured a definitive moment of him pulling the audience on stage at the Sydney Opera House. He loved the capture so much he shared it on his socials.
Sidenote: Bowie, Iggy and Lou are my absolute holy trinity.
5. A LIFE-LONG OBSESSION WITH NARRATIVE
I wrote the school Christmas play when I was nine (an adaptation of The Pied Piper) and won an award for an Early Times article aged 11. It was clear from the very beginning that I was bound for a career in publishing.
